Courage

Courage is about speaking the truth despite people calling you names and booing and swearing at you.

 

This young man Ben Kessler (who is planning to enter seminary) gave a speech at the graduation of University of St. Thomas => a CATHOLIC university. His speech upholds Catholic teaching and yet he was being sworn at… and the principal basically asked him to apologize?!?!?!?!?!!

 

Pray for this young man. Also pray for ourselves, that we have courage to speak the truth to the jeering crowd.

"愛"是從哪裡來的?

 

耶穌之前的世界﹐是沒有愛的世界。"舊約"的主要內容是"法"。裡面有六百一十三條法律﹐要求猶太民族遵守。祈禱的時候﹐最後的一句是"亞孟"﹐意思大約就是"一言為定"。猶太是契約的民族﹐不是愛的民族。在全部的"伊索寓言"裡﹐是沒有"愛"這個主題的。龜兔賽跑﹐酸葡萄﹐全部故事與愛無關。因為﹐"伊索寓言"是在耶穌之前的作品。那時的人﹐不懂得怎樣愛。"愛"是從耶穌開始才有的高尚情操。從

前的人﹐只知有十戒。但耶穌帶來了第十一戒:"你們要彼此相愛。"亦可以說﹐自從耶穌之後﹐人類才算是高了一個層次﹐知道以牙還牙的哲學﹐是會令人類萬刧不復的。猶太人否定耶穌﹐奉行復仇主義﹐本來是民族問題。但猶太人經濟上可能已控制了美國。沒有一個美國總統﹐不怕猶太人。所以﹐最近的美國思潮否定耶穌。
